The 2010 tour finished in early July, after full houses, extra shows, rave reviews and audience members driving vast distances to see the show again  - Warrington-London is the record so far.  Paul Duckworth finished with a month in London during the World Cup at the King’s Head Theatre, and the response there was no different from the rest of the country.

Written by Radio 4 playwright, John Graham Davies, Beating Berlusconi! is based on the bizarre true story of a life long Liverpool fan - Mark Radley, a cobbler from Allerton - who ended up sitting next to Silvio Berlusconi at the Attaturk stadium. When the Reds equalised, Mark couldn't suppress his feelings, Berlusconi lost his temper and the two squared up. Hauled away by Turkish security guards, Mark was amazed to be taken to the Liverpool VIP area - they had mistaken him for a Liverpool VIP.

Beating Berlusconi! is the hilarious story of one man’s attempt to rediscover his belief in himself, his club, his city, and his class.

Mesmerising…...hilarious scattergun scenes. Duckworth is outstanding. The gags flowed all evening. - LIVERPOOL ECHO
